A note on categories
The four categories describe how a house works rather than how good it is. A hotel appears in one category only, and no entry is moved between them for effect. The short definitions below say what each word means on this site, since all four are used loosely elsewhere.
Ice Hotels. Mountain lodges that run a winter season, where snow governs access, opening dates and daily arrangements.
Capsule Hotels. Houses built from small repeated rooms or cabins, usually with shared washing rooms and a shared lounge.
Casino Hotels. Canadian resorts described here only as hotels: their halls, restaurants, spas and grounds.
Art Hotels. Houses where the building itself, its conversion or a collection kept in it is the point of the stay.
